Everyone has now received a letter from Mrs. Schlotte about her retirement from BCS. I have had a little time to process this change and know that God is good. I was very sad when I first heard, but knew it was coming at some point. We will miss her so much and we were so blessed to get to have her at BCS for as long as we did. God is good and I trust we will still continue in our mission and provide a warm and loving learning environment.
The good news! : Mrs. S. will still be part of our BCS family! She will be volunteering on a couple Fridays every month and will be on the board. Susan Olson has expressed her desire to step down from the board because she feels Mrs. Schlotte would be better qualified. Thanks mom for helping us out for as long as you did.
If anyone has any questions or concerns for us, please don't be afraid to reach out. As far as the day to day activities go - we had prepared for this change the last couple weeks and test drove how it would work. We should be…

Happy Snow Day!!!!
I am very sorry about this, but I made a mistake when counting days for Christmas break.
Our Christmas break will start on December 24th (the last day of school will be Friday, December 23) and we will return to school on Monday, January 2nd. Once again, I'm so sorry about the confusion. If you have already made plans for those days, I ask that you follow the allinonehomeschool.com site to make up those days with your child sometime over break. Keep us posted!
Lastly, as winter looms - we have decided that if a snow day is called, we would like parents to still go through the work for that day on the allinonehomeschool.com site with their child. I will post the information for that day here on our website the morning school is called off. We feel very fortunate we are able to be done with school by the end of April and would like to continue this trend! :) Plus, with the homeschool setting, we think everyone may enjoy it.
Thank-you for your understanding, and I hope you are enjoyi…
At BCS, we feel very strongly the foundation of a life filled with peace, joy, thankfulness, and hope comes from learning God's word and being able to apply it to our lives. So, we learn about Jesus' love for all, forgiveness, compassion, kindness - and why we can trust God's promises and love. Part of this education comes directly from practicing bible verses. Here are the ones we have worked on so far this year, including the one for this week. God Bless!
Genesis 1:1 : In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
John 14:6 : I am the way, the truth, and the life.
John 1:3 : All things were made by Him.
Philippians 4:19 : My God shall supply all your need.
James 1:17 : Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above.
Ephesians 4:32 : Be ye kind one to another.
Matthew 28:20 : Lo, I am with you always.
Matthew 8:27 : Even the winds and the sea obey Him!
1 Peter 5:7 : Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.
Exodus 20:12 : Honor thy father and…
Circle Woship this week will be moved to Thursday at 11:00 - just in case anyone would like to join us. Minister Marion is gone on Wednesday, but was missing the kiddos (we were missing her too) and will be in Bradley on Thursday, so we are doing a slight shift. Hope everyone has a good Monday!
We are rounding out our first quarter of school. I can't believe how fast it is going. I feel very blessed to be part of this school and spend time with the students. The more I learn about faith and God - the more thankful I am and the more I pray that He will guide my time with these children and "Make all things work for the good of those that love Him." -Romans 8:28. I am certainly not perfect and we will make mistakes, but God is good and we do love Him!
A special thank-you to Cassie for the pumpkins, Danielle for the cookies, Barb, Patty, Mrs. S, and Mr. W. for lunch this week -- and everyone else who contributes to our lunch program and everything else that makes BCS! Thank-you!
And a few pics from today : Have a very blessed and safe Halloween.
I have come to find that there are some people in a community who are always part of conflict and there are some who always bring joy. To me, Connie always brings joy and today she did not disappoint! Thanks for letting us help you decorate ghosts for your paddle boat adventure!
Dear God, thank You for today and help us each to bring joy and not conflict to each other and to seek Your plan for each one of us. Amen.
Blessings and of course pics! :)
When prayer was removed from public schools, students in Texas decided to 'meet at the pole' for prayer before entering school. Now, millions of students meet at the flag pole on September 28 to celebrate, honor, and pray! God bless those who dare to be different for Jesus! Today, at BCS, we took our devotions outside and joined the millions... And the 'Son' shined!
Thank-you to everyone for helping with and being part of the Fall Fest. It was an awesome day! God is good and I feel very thankful to be part of this school. The road ditches also look great - and everyone contributed with such happy hearts, fills me up!
