New Books and Ice Skating

We had some new books donated to the school a couple weeks ago and the kids have been really enjoying them. I love watching them read together and alone and exploring this world at their own pace... Life is beautiful.

Also - a couple pics from ice skating last week!

This Tuesday will be our last ice skating for this school year but sounds like we will have plenty of chances next school year! God willing :)

Thank-you God for blessing us.

Psalm 105:3 Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!

Good Morning --

After much consideration, we will not be having school on the remaining Fridays of this
school year. We are considering running school Monday-Thursday next year as well -- with the homeschool environment, families also want more time with their kids which I think is awesome! --Plus, with the lower number students to teacher ratio, not as many hours are necessary. The kids are all doing great! I hope this gives the children extra one-on-one family time and opportunities to grow in their unique passions and gifts that God created in each one of them.

God Bless.
1 Peter 1:21 Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory.

Grow Love!

We rounded out Thursday with an exceptional day. -- Truly felt like a blessing. Plus we got my new book in and the kids were excited to color and listen. Every kiddo got one so I hope you all enjoy. Also, if you know of families or missions that could use some books, let me know. We are still donating and look forward to sharing them on our mission trip this summer.

The kids gathered around Grandma to learn about teeth as they finished their math and we learned about St. Patrick's Day! -- the real story about Saint Patrick and the shamrock and the made up one about leprechauns, gold, and rainbows. :)

Enjoy the pics and the weekend!.

Isaiah 65:24 -- I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!

I love God.

Ice Skating

Despite the challenges of learning to skate and some bumps and bruises - it was pretty awesome!

Really fun to watch these kids learn so much in just 2 skating outings. Excited that we still get to go a couple more times and the possibilities for next year.

The kids even made a couple new friends - the arm/head hug - I promise, was with all smiles and good intentions -- just silliness. Also love that we all needed a nap after :).

James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Thank you God for blessing us.

Friendships and Agape Peacemakers

It still amazes me how intertwined we become in each others lives -- connections that are made and sometimes are broken and those that last forever. I actually believe, even if a connection is broken it will never be forgotten. When we become part of someone's life, there will always be a piece of us forever connected to that person - it's incredible really.

Watching the kids interact last Friday was so cool. Witnessing their friendships growing and how they relate to each other - every situation so unique. (Pictures : Kids playing simon says with block colors and - BEAD Pics : creating an entire world, complete with animals, out of beads -- all put together without my hinting - and welcoming to all - pretty beautiful)

On Thursday, we gave our group the official name of 'Agape Peacemakers'. This was the kids choice and they feel we can rise to the occasion. I believe, with God's help, we can too. This world can be a very ugly place and hard and incredibly unfair...…

'Son' Shine

I will be the first to admit that our little school is far from perfect - but He continues to bless us in so many ways. Some days take the wind right out of my sails and some days put the wind right back in them and send me soaring. This weeks topic was 'Agape' - the ultimate love -- and I could truly feel His presence and watching the kids learn so much and grow in knowledge and faith...

Despite the hardships that come with this world -- there is still plenty of His goodness.

Enjoy the pics!!! and the frost... and the sunshine... and the smiles...
