Psalm 139. Exploration. Silly Sentences. Clapping Song.

Psalm 139 O Lord, you have examined my heart
    and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
You see me when I travel
and when I rest at home.
    You know everything I do.
You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, Lord.
You go before me and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.

We read Psalm 139 this week. I love knowing that David wrote this as a song - celebrating God's love -- that He goes before us and follows us. He loves us. He will not leave us. He knows the world crushes in on us -- He lived it... but He knows our thoughts. He's not asking us to be perfect but to know Him. We tend to always make it about us. He wants to offer us a break and David knows this and is singing to God a song of thanksgiving... praising Him for being ever-present. Let's join David! :) Amen!

Here are a couple pics from exploration. They make me smile. Also, after learning about giraffes, we played silly sentences -- a very silly game where the kids learn about nouns, verbs, adjectives, articles, and prepositions... some not very silly things. Enjoy the pics and video. God is good and God is love.

PS. The Sailor went to Sea, Sea, Sea is a little older video-- and had been meaning to share.

Back to School!?!?!? - Well not quite yet but getting closer!

Hi and hope everyone is having a very blessed summer. Although I'm not 100% ready to roll into the new school year yet, the anticipation of fall is starting to build. It's always exciting to see what Jesus will unfold through our time together. I pray that we are all able to grow in faith and love and that He will guide our time together.

A little bit of business.

First off we are looking to set up a work day either August 18 or 25. Can you please text or email me (or comment below) which day may work better. We can use all the help we can get. Projects include : tinning back side of roof, new back door, replacing front sidewalk with pavers, and painting outside. Also, could you tell me which project you might be interested in helping with. There will be some overlap -- but it would be good to have an idea so people can bring tools as needed.

I have posted this year's school calendar to the Upcoming Events. Please take note. Also our daily schedule has changed some so plea…

2018-2019 School Year. It's a wrap! Thank You. Summer. & Pics.

What a blessed, challenging, and beautiful school year. I am very grateful for the opportunity to grow in faith and experience life with the children of BCS and their families - and all the volunteers!

I continue to learn so much as I teach and watch each child grow and change and begin their individual relationship with Jesus so they can find their way/His way through this world, spreading light in a darkened world.

We ended the school year with these 2 bible verses for the last week and focused on taking them into the world this summer.

Romans 10:15 How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news.
John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it.

I pray that Jesus will fill the children and their families with the courage to be a light and share the good news over the next four months. We have the great promise of eternal life. There is no more death, Jesus defeated it when he rose from the dead! It's so exciting and beautiful. So G…
