Don't Be Afraid. Believe. Bread of Life.

John 6:1-40

I just really love John 6:20 -- but He called out to them, "Don't be afraid, I am here!" He was with the disciples when the storms were raging on the sea -- and He is with us through every storm in our lives... calling to us 'Don't be afraid, I am here.' He's so much closer and bigger than we can fully understand. Makes me want to dance. :)

John 6:29 -- He goes on to say, "This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent." Let's believe together! By living His love! I'll be the first to admit that I can't love perfectly -- or anywhere close for that matter... but He can -- I only pray for less of me and more of Him... everyday.

Finally John 6:35 -- He offers himself as the bread of life to those who will take it -- to those who will believe in Him. Sharing that with this, we will never go hungry again. What an awesome and simple existence -- to need only Him... to strive for only Him. He also offers us a chance to look past ourselves saying in 6:35 -- For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will.

Dear God, help us look past ourselves and grow our relationship with you. You are a most loving, creative, and beautiful God. Take us on your journey for us -- your adventure. I know it holds more than I can imagine -- so help me to trust Your way. Amen.

Thank-you God for another amazing day.

2017 Fall Fest

Thank you to everyone! It was such a magical day for me and I hope everyone else enjoyed it as well. The family of people that the school brings together really does warm my heart.

Even with the rain, the kiddos picked up garbage - with happy hearts! Their willingness and excitement to serve puts a smile on my face... even in less than perfect conditions. I don't have as many pictures this year - my camera battery died... I guess I'm slipping in some respects, but I also just really enjoyed the day.... a gentle rain, swinging, picking up ditches, hot cocoa, food, community, wild kratts, a hay ride, frisbee, music, sunshine after a cloudy day, mud pies, adventuring, a fire - Thank you God for showering us with your blessings!!!

And all God's children said... Amen!
