Ice Skating!

We have the opportunity to ice skate 2 Tuesdays before Christmas and 5 Tuesdays after Christmas with the CACHE Homeschool Group... weather permitting. The dates are November 20th and December 4th from 12:30 to 2:30. Cost is still $5/child or $10/family. Skates are available at the Ice Arena.
We will be eating lunch at 11:30 on skating days and then dismissing at 11:50. If you would like to go skating, please let me know in advance. If you would like your child/ren to go and need help with rides, we would be happy to help! - Just let me know before hand.
Also, I just realized, the 4th may not work as we will be serving at the pantry from 3-5pm. I will keep you posted on the 4th. We could possibly skate from 12:30 to 1:45 and eat and rest before serving, but that may be too much. I will assess. But please let me know about the November 20th!.

Processing Sight and Sound and Morning Work Pics.

Wrapped up another week. They go so fast, but I'm not going to lie - I'm looking forward to the weekend! :)

On Wednesday we talked about how we receive information through our eyes and ears and a little about how our body transfers this information to our brain. We truly are fearfully and wonderfully made! Psalm 139:14

After, we took in sight and sound by writing mini-compositions and playing them on our homemade colored chimes.  Enjoy the pics. It was a very fun project!

And a few more pics from this morning. It really is a blessing to watch these beautiful guys and gals learn and work together.

I hope everyone has a very blessed weekend! Luke 1:45 -- You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said. We have such an awesome God.

Exploration Monday & Pics!

Today we kicked off the morning with devotions and yoga. Then we continued on with 'Is Genesis History' -- once again bringing volcanoes into the topic, but this time, pointing to the layers of rock quickly created by volcanoes and other natural disasters, ie the flood.. :) And bringing to light some of the inconsistencies of the conventional paradigm. Then, it was on to exploring/creating, snack, spelling, piano, writing, bible. :) A very blessed Monday.

Enjoy the pics.

1 John 4:19 - We love Him, because He first loved us.

No School Today. Nov 1.

Good Morning.

There will be no school today. Our family is sick.

Please do devotions, practice math, and read 1 John chapter 1. Here's a link if you don't have a bible handy at home : https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20John+1&version=NLT

I would love the kids to either draw a picture or write a story about what it might mean to live in the light or what that would look like.

Thank you for your understanding and sorry for any inconvenience.
Have a good weekend.
