Plant Species Nature Adventure Pics. Homeschool Fridays.

Hello All! Hope everyone is healing over the weekend.

I had quite a few questions about what the children were supposed to be doing for work this time and I want to share my thoughts with you (more completely) on why we chose to have Homeschool Fridays - it wasn’t just to have Fridays at home. :) My goal is to integrate parents into each child’s learning experience. Because we were all raised and taught in a ‘get it done and check the box’ environment - it will take us all time to adjust to this - including me. I continue to learn and grow everyday.

That being said, I will be sending home all the books most Thursdays with your child/ren - along with any days the school closes for snow or other reasons. Outside of those books and science/social studies, we practice writing, math facts, reading, bible, sign language and a few other things every day. Learning at home, gives you as a parent a chance to give your child one-on-one attention and assess and give them extra help in whatever th…

Garbage Pickup & Fall Fest Pics. Wookeys Tomorrow!

Here are a few pics from Friday. Thanks for helping with garbage and being game for a new adventure for Fall Fest! Enjoy the pics.

Also - tomorrow we do our first serve at Wookey’s in Clark. We will be leaving the school about 10am. Susan, Danielle, and I will be driving (this is enough riding space for everyone.) If you would like to take your own child/ren or don’t want them to attend, please pick them up at 10.

Thanks!

John 5:16 Let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your Heavenly Father.

Now the pics! :)

HomeSchool Friday

Good Morning!

I thought we had a pretty amazing first week. Very thankful to have such an awesome God watching over and guiding us!

Just a quick note about the books that were sent home.

We are doing day 4 today. This is true in every book except the little Reader Workbook. Simply do the next page. If it's going over new vocab, still just do one page, and enjoy expanding your vocabulary!

For the Bible Reading/Science/Social Studies print out - Please read the Bible reading - and explore the science/social studies topics with your family. Feel free to add projects or videos to the experience. Just google the map to get a closer look. Make it fit your family. And their notebook is to journal about the experience.

Please look through the workbooks to review what we have been doing this week and see where your child is at with everything.

To practice handwriting, our bible verse is Matthew 1:23 this week : and they will call Him Immanuel which means 'God with us'.

Good luck!

Prayer & Pics!

(School pics at the bottom - please let me know if you would like to send you your child/ren’s)

As we dive into the book of Matthew and read about the ancestry of Jesus, we quickly realize that God invites a whole line of misfits and mess-ups to be part of His plan. and the awesome part... He invites us to be part of His plan too, willing to work with our brokenness. He doesn’t wait for us to be perfect then say, ‘come join me’ — He meets us right where we are at and says, ‘if you choose/pursue me, I will bless you and set you free and use all that you are to bring love and light into this world.’ - Just like he did with all of those who came before... Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Rahab, David.... the list goes on of God using imperfect and broken people to save others and build His Kingdom. His ways are so much bigger than ours... they are limitless.
Isaiah 55:8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.”
So we don’t …
