2018-2019 School Year. It's a wrap! Thank You. Summer. & Pics.

What a blessed, challenging, and beautiful school year. I am very grateful for the opportunity to grow in faith and experience life with the children of BCS and their families - and all the volunteers!

I continue to learn so much as I teach and watch each child grow and change and begin their individual relationship with Jesus so they can find their way/His way through this world, spreading light in a darkened world.

We ended the school year with these 2 bible verses for the last week and focused on taking them into the world this summer.

Romans 10:15 How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news.
John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it.

I pray that Jesus will fill the children and their families with the courage to be a light and share the good news over the next four months. We have the great promise of eternal life. There is no more death, Jesus defeated it when he rose from the dead! It's so exciting and beautiful. So God, please be a light for our feet and guide us down your path of peace, joy, hope, and above all - love to share with others. Amen.

For the summer, please continue with the devotional - starting your day with God, there is nothing better. I also talked to the kids about stretching every morning to help keep their bodies healthy and strong. These are all things I hope as they grow older - they will take with them for the rest of their lives. As for summer books - have fun learning and reading and journaling with your kids this summer! Learning can be so much fun - and just like the kids faith walk, the kids also need to know their parents are in on the learning walk too. Like all things good - I pray that as parents we can look past checking the box of getting it done - and enjoy the journey of learning.

Now for the pics! There are a few from the last couple weeks as well. I'm sure I will be in touch with all of you at some point over the summer - but for now - have a very blessed summer!! God loves us all so much.

April 26 : This was already marked as the last day with garbage pick up, BBQ, and Recital. We will also be having a short group PT conference to discuss summer goals.

Dear God. Thank you for blessing BCS. Please bless our out-reach efforts as we share your love with those in our community. Thank you for your love. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

And! A few pics form last week.

Talent Show and Pics!

Hey All!

I'm excited for our serving opportunity today along with the sunshine! A reminder that we are dismissing at 2:00pm today.

Another note for our end of the year BBQ and road cleanup on Friday, April 26. It will start at 10am and will be potluck. Please let me know if you would like to bring something and are willing to help with garbage cleanup or food prep or games.

Also, we will be doing a talent show/recital this year instead of just a piano recital on the last day. Children can choose to play music, sing, create, etc... Please ask your child about this. I have spoken with the students and most have chosen something - but it would be good for parents to go over other options if they would like to try something different. If they choose to create something or need to practice something other than piano, the practicing and completion of the project need to take place after school with family and needs to be ready to present on April 26! Very excited to see what they will c…
