April 10 & 11 - Homeschool. End of Year BBQ.

Hey All!

With the impending weather, I sent home all of the kid’s work for both Wednesday and Thursday this week. I considered having school in the morning tomorrow, but have decided to just let everyone stay home since there seems to be a 60%+ chance of snow from 7am on tomorrow.

If the storm misses us, enjoy the time of learning with your kids anyway! :)

You should have spelling words from yesterday and today. If you don’t, just let me know!

Our bible verse this week is Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it!

The kids really enjoy the song too.

PreK. Continue working on recognizing/writing all letters and saying them correctly. Also work on numbers 1-10. Counting, Recognizing, Writing.

For Bible, we are reading Acts 21. You are welcome to read any part of the Bible with your children. I’m thankful for our homeschool situation so we can take a break from focusing on checking boxes and instead, enjoy the opportunity to learn and grow in faith and love with our children. I’m simply encouraging growing as a family. This is the most important piece to their learning experience.

Our focus for the this week and last week has been practicing making good choices. We are all far from perfect, but we can practice being kind, obedient, and showing grace, especially when we don’t want to.

Please let me know if you have any questions about their work.

For the End of Year BBQ : We are doing it a bit different this year and need a few volunteers! Garbage pickup starts at 10 and we are hoping to be back before 11:30 and eat lunch around 11:30 and on. After lunch, we will be having the talent show along with a few important announcements. We would like all parents and children to be present and be part of the celebration of another year at BCS!

Volunteers Needed for :
Garbage Pickup
Food Prep (Setting everything out and making sure it’s ready to go)
Bring a Dish to Pass
Music (If anyone is interested in kicking off the talent show with some music :)

Thank you and may you rejoice in all of God’s blessings today!

Back to School!?!?!? - Well not quite yet but getting closer!

Hi and hope everyone is having a very blessed summer. Although I'm not 100% ready to roll into the new school year yet, the anticipation of fall is starting to build. It's always exciting to see what Jesus will unfold through our time together. I pray that we are all able to grow in faith and love and that He will guide our time together.

A little bit of business.

First off we are looking to set up a work day either August 18 or 25. Can you please text or email me (or comment below) which day may work better. We can use all the help we can get. Projects include : tinning back side of roof, new back door, replacing front sidewalk with pavers, and painting outside. Also, could you tell me which project you might be interested in helping with. There will be some overlap -- but it would be good to have an idea so people can bring tools as needed.

I have posted this year's school calendar to the Upcoming Events. Please take note. Also our daily schedule has changed some so plea…

Board Meeting Updates & Events and Pics from last week.

We had a BCS board meeting on Friday morning and added a few more serving opportunities to the events. Please mark your calendars.

Feb 14 : Share His Love Valentines Supper. BCS will be putting on a free V-Day supper @ the Bradley Community Center (location may change) from 5-7pm. The kids will be helping serve, wash dishes, and wait tables.

April 2 : Serving at the Webster Pantry. 3:30 to 6:00pm. Dismiss @ 2.

April 26 : This was already marked as the last day with garbage pick up, BBQ, and Recital. We will also be having a short group PT conference to discuss summer goals.

Dear God. Thank you for blessing BCS. Please bless our out-reach efforts as we share your love with those in our community. Thank you for your love. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
