Christ Alone, Cornerstone.

We are free not because of circumstances but because we are not of this world. (John 15:19) We have a God that can make all things work for the good of those that love Him. (Romans 8:28) I don’t think for a moment that God wants things like this to happen or to see His children scared, but if we are willing to ‘watch in wonder’ we will be able to watch Him take chaos and create light. (Isaiah 55:8 - My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways.) We have a God of infinite wisdom.

The truth is, He is everything. I don’t think we are reminded of this often enough, not even in our churches. But in this life here, this is just a pixel in the big show. There is more to the story. Death of our earthly bodies is simply our final act of faith here on this earth. We need not fear what we don’t know when we know Him. There is so much more to come... so much better than we can even begin to understand.

Isaiah 29:16 It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken.

A beautiful promise given to us long before Jesus walked the earth. A promise that the cornerstone is safe to build our entire life on. We need nothing else and when we only need the one thing that can never be taken from us... we are FREE!. Can I get an amen! And whoever believes this need never be shaken.

So may the peace that transcends all understanding be with you! - Philippians 4:7  || “I am leaving you with a gift - peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give as a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. -John 14:27

Today He lives. Tomorrow He lives. Forever He lives. And we are His.

Freedom to Choose.

It’s crazy, but while we live in a ‘free’ country - many of us live lives that speak otherwise. We are bound by expectations and man-made plans. We do what we do mostly because that is what we are told or expected to do... and then something like this happens where we are given the freedom of time... and choices... a blessing most of us are not sure what to do with.
I can’t help but spend time right now reveling in the truth that we are created in God’s image... It doesn’t take much exploring of God’s creation to see that we have a very creative God. I truly believe somewhere within each one of us, whether it be building, sculpting, photography, painting, planting, music, crafts, writing, etc - we have a desire to create and explore, a sometimes very buried or hidden desire - but a desire... a yearning in our soul.
I’m so incredibly thankful for a break from the chaos. An opportunity to slow down and connect with God. I pray with all my heart - as a culture - we are able to let go of …

Philippians 3:1-11... Into the Unknown! :).. Sing it out!

I just wanted to elaborate on the beautiful scripture we read this morning. Philippians 3:1-11
Paul talks about how there is no human effort that can bring us to God, but that it is a gift given to us because of what Christ Jesus has done for us. And that although Paul, when he was Saul, walked a near blameless life as far as the written law, Paul now counts it as nothing because of what Christ has done - the infinite value in His love for us. And then the clincher: “For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.” -Philippians 3:9.
And this is where the Holy Spirit... the miracle of the Holy Spirit within each one of us comes to life. Faith being an intangible, untouchable, mystical element is not for us to hold onto or rationalize - the Holy Spirit acts as a bridge for our souls to connect with the mystical... and venture  “into the unknown!” :) yes, I even sang it this morning.
The Holy Spirit, Jesus’ presence multiplied infinitely because of His death on the cross …
