March 30 to April 3.

Hey All!

This week we will be on Days 133-137. The curriculum is almost done for the year, congratulations! And I hope you are enjoying reviewing with your family. I hope you are able to explore some of the end of the year projects as well... or a variation that fits your family.

Our bible verse this week: Matthew 28:20 And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

Also with bible - we are going to read the rest of Matthew 28 tomorrow and move on to reading Philippians, about a half a chapter/day. So will be reading to the end of chapter 2 by the end of the week.

Math facts: 1st= 40+4 to 60+4, 2nd= 60-4 to 80-4, 3rd= 5xs & 6xs.

I pray you are able to use this time to lean into God and know that His grace is sufficient in all circumstances and in all ways. Let Him be everything. Explore your passions that He placed within you, rest in Him, grow as a family - and may He use each one of us to be lights in the broken world.

Simple Minded Thoughts.
by: Anna Postal

Gentle words
From a tender heart.
More precious than the rarest stone.
A quiet calm.
A song for the wounded.

Out of the race.
Enter not
Lest your heart be steadfast.

The tender heart beats on.
Looking past the world.

A quiet soliloquy.

Striving not.
Lacking in nothing.

Simple minded thoughts.
A dependent existence.

Only one to follow.

Galatians 5:23 The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and self-control. There is no law against these things.

If you are interested, I have also been posting to our family blog :
Some I did post to BCS - but not all.

Getting Ready for the 2019-2020 School Year!

Hey All! Happy summering!

We had the BCS board meeting last night and finalized a few changes and okayed the school calendar. Check it out in the side menu!

1st :  HERE IS THE LINK for the South Dakota plublic school exemption form. Please print, fill out, and bring with you to school on the first day. As discussed last year, add one or both of the parents’ names as instructor/s as well as BCS.

2nd : Fridays. We will still have Fridays off from organized school, but I will send home their books on Thursday and each child will need to complete one day of work with their family at home over the weekend. This will allow the parents to see exactly where the children are at with everything and build the value of learning at home as well as at school. I will be sending their readers, math workbook, language arts, vocabulary, and science/social studies (sheet/guide). This is a must.

3rd : School will run from 8:15 to 2:30, Monday -Thursday, 1st - 12th. Kindergarten will not attend on Monday …

2018-2019 School Year. It's a wrap! Thank You. Summer. & Pics.

What a blessed, challenging, and beautiful school year. I am very grateful for the opportunity to grow in faith and experience life with the children of BCS and their families - and all the volunteers!

I continue to learn so much as I teach and watch each child grow and change and begin their individual relationship with Jesus so they can find their way/His way through this world, spreading light in a darkened world.

We ended the school year with these 2 bible verses for the last week and focused on taking them into the world this summer.

Romans 10:15 How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news.
John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it.

I pray that Jesus will fill the children and their families with the courage to be a light and share the good news over the next four months. We have the great promise of eternal life. There is no more death, Jesus defeated it when he rose from the dead! It's so exciting and beautiful. So G…
