Garbage Pickup

Hola!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine. It’s been such a beautiful week so far.

I just wanted to touch base about the end of the year garbage pickup. We do still plan on doing it... but we are just going to wait until a nice day - and probably in the evening/afternoon so no one has to worry about taking work off to take part. I’m not sure when it will be- probably in the next couple weeks. If you would like to take part, please text me! I won’t make a formal announcement; I will just let know whoever is interested.

I know this year looked different in so many ways, but I am still incredibly thankful for another year at BCS... learning and growing with the kids and families. I pray that families are enjoying learning and growing together. Please let me know if you have any questions about summer learning or need some summer reading books from the school.

Thank you God for loving us so completely... and never giving up on us. Romans 8:38-39 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Getting Ready for the 2019-2020 School Year!

Hey All! Happy summering!

We had the BCS board meeting last night and finalized a few changes and okayed the school calendar. Check it out in the side menu!

1st :  HERE IS THE LINK for the South Dakota plublic school exemption form. Please print, fill out, and bring with you to school on the first day. As discussed last year, add one or both of the parents’ names as instructor/s as well as BCS.

2nd : Fridays. We will still have Fridays off from organized school, but I will send home their books on Thursday and each child will need to complete one day of work with their family at home over the weekend. This will allow the parents to see exactly where the children are at with everything and build the value of learning at home as well as at school. I will be sending their readers, math workbook, language arts, vocabulary, and science/social studies (sheet/guide). This is a must.

3rd : School will run from 8:15 to 2:30, Monday -Thursday, 1st - 12th. Kindergarten will not attend on Monday …

2018-2019 School Year. It's a wrap! Thank You. Summer. & Pics.

What a blessed, challenging, and beautiful school year. I am very grateful for the opportunity to grow in faith and experience life with the children of BCS and their families - and all the volunteers!

I continue to learn so much as I teach and watch each child grow and change and begin their individual relationship with Jesus so they can find their way/His way through this world, spreading light in a darkened world.

We ended the school year with these 2 bible verses for the last week and focused on taking them into the world this summer.

Romans 10:15 How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news.
John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it.

I pray that Jesus will fill the children and their families with the courage to be a light and share the good news over the next four months. We have the great promise of eternal life. There is no more death, Jesus defeated it when he rose from the dead! It's so exciting and beautiful. So G…
